Gitzo GB1540 Carbon Fiber 1 Series 6X G-Lock Microphone Boom

Gitzo booms are designed for performance and reliability, that effectively captures the location sound, as also perfectly meets the needs of the broadcast audio professional. The new Carbon 6X crossed layer tube makes carbon booms lighter, faster, and extremely rigid. Gitzo booms are easier and quicker to operate, and are more precise to adjust due to its Anti Leg Rotation system. Gitzo's G-Lock system guarantees faster and stronger locking, and increases system rigidity by 20%. All Carbon 6X GLock booms come with a convenient anti-dust bag for storage, and packing. Gitzo booms feature a 1/4" - 3/8" reversible mounting screw supported by a high quality machined aluminum upper end. The microphone cable can be run either outside or inside the pole. The aluminum upper end is provided with a machined hole for inner cables. With the Carbon 6X tubes and G-Lock, the new generation of Gitzo booms is surprisingly light, and extremely rigid even when fully extended. Boom length can be quickly and precisely adjusted, thanks to the Anti Leg Rotation system

• ALR - A new Anti Leg Rotation system, which means the tripod can be opened in less than 15 seconds. Simply loosen all the twist locks on each leg at the same time, then pull the leg down and tighten the locks individually.
• G-Lock: The Gitzo leg locking system has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking. G-Lock's special design also provides a "gravity lock" effect: the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.
